The Institute of Decontamination Sciences (IDSc) is the UK's largest professional body for the decontamination of surgical instruments (medical devices) and their annual conference and exhibition takes place at the Hilton Hotel, Blackpool, 23rd - 25th November 2009. Foldex range included in new NHS Supply Chain agreement
We are pleased to announce that NHS Supply Chain has now confirmed availability of the Foldex range of sterile supply disposables via the RDC network as part of the newly implemented framework agreement for the supply of Tray Wrap and Sterilisation Paper.
With nearly 40 years trading history as a supplier to the National Health Service IPS Converters has developed a comprehensive range of machine folded disposable hand towels, surgeon's towels, wipes and laminates for the healthcare market.
Sales Director Ian Davies commented ‘ feedback at the recent IDSc exhibition in Blackpool confirmed the awareness amongst Sterile Supply Managers of the Foldex brand and their satisfaction with both the product and service levels delivered by IPS Converters. New folded wipe machine
The decision to commission a new folded wipe machine in response to continued growth in demand for the Hizorb range of industrial wipes reached its final stage when the new No: 19 machine successfully completed pre-production trials.
Designed and built by the in-house engineering department at IPS the latest converting machine has the capability to produce pre-folded wipes in several formats and a wide range of sizes. With improved efficiencies, capabilities and performance the new machine will provide significant additional converting capacity.

Company Name Change
On 1st November 2007 Industrial & Professional Supplies Ltd, also trading as IPS Hospital Services will change its name to IPS Converters Ltd.
The decision to re-name the company reflects the increasing diversity of the product portfolio and market sectors being supplied with a significant range of wiping products, both wet and dry, being introduced to both healthcare and industrial markets.
Ian Davies, Sales Director at IPS Converters explained:
"There has been tremendous interest in IPS wiping products from new users across the whole spectrum of industrial markets and our new name, IPS Converters reflects the core strength of our business for all our customers.
The fact that IPS manufacturers its own converting machinery gives us a tremendous amount of flexibility in the size and format of product we can offer. One of our key strengths is to be able to sit down with our customers and develop new products which are unique to their individual requirements.
The experience we have gained from nearly forty years manufacturing and supplying product to the National Health Service and our reputation for quality products at competitive prices is an invaluable asset we can bring to our increasing customer base in the industrial market sector."
